Everything about joining in, tickets, and finding your way around campus this summer.

Joining in

The basics

Summer University is for all students, PhD and EngD candidates, and staff of TU staying in Eindhoven this summer. Bringing a friend, partner, classmate or colleague along is very welcome too.
Come on your own! Every activity is designed to be low-threshold, so it feels natural to walk in alone and leave with new connections. That's the whole idea.
Nothing — every Summer University activity is completely free. The weekly Dutch Talk sessions even come with a free lunch.
From July 4 to August 8, 2026, across five weeks. You can browse the full programme and jump straight to any week.
Tickets & Revelry

Reserving your spot

Every activity has a Get a ticket button that takes you to its page on Revelry, our ticketing platform. Reserve your free ticket there in a couple of taps.
Some activities — like the workshops and museum visits — have a limited number of places. A free ticket guarantees your spot and helps our team plan the right amount of food, equipment and space.
Of course. Cancel through Revelry as soon as you know, so someone on the waitlist can take your place. No hard feelings — summer plans change!
On campus

Finding your way

Most happen at the Sports Centre (SSC) and around Metaforum on the TU campus. A few are off-campus, like the Van Gogh Village visit in Nuenen. Every activity lists its exact location — and you can see the key spots on our campus map.
Yes — Metaforum stays open for studying all summer long, so you can mix focused work with a relaxing activity in between.
Our weekly Dutch Talk sessions offer beginner and intermediate conversation tables, accompanied by a free lunch at the SSC café terrace. Perfect for practising in a relaxed, friendly setting. Find the next one →
Mostly just yourself and a good mood. For sporty activities, bring suitable clothing — sportswear for volleyball and soccer, swimwear for the pool. Workshops and museum visits need nothing but curiosity.
