During summer breaks, most of our students and employees either go back home or have vacation plans with friends and family. Some of us are staying in Eindhoven, however, and might be looking for some nice, relaxing activities — and the chance to connect with new people.
The best friendships form when people connect over shared interests rather than shared backgrounds.
Whether you enjoy a game of beach volleyball, a relaxing swim, cooking workshops, a visit to a museum or just a nice walk and talk, Summer University offers low-threshold activities where it feels natural to walk in alone and leave with new connections.
We extend a warm summer welcome to our community members, and hope to see many of you on our campus.
Three simple ideas.
Come as you are
Every activity is designed to feel natural to walk into on your own. No groups to join, no awkward introductions.
Connect over interests
Sport, food, language, culture — you'll meet people who enjoy the same things, which is where real friendships start.
Free and open to all
Students, PhDs, EngDs and staff are all welcome, and every activity is free to join. Just bring yourself.
Practising your Dutch? You're in luck.
We'll be offering beginner and intermediate conversation classes each week, accompanied by a free lunch at the Sports Centre. Come hungry, leave with a few new phrases — and a few new friends.
